We have become a bit philosophical to tell our story.
But it is that in Globolandia, the past, present and future are firmly united.
We cannot understand one without explaining the rest.
The passion with which this company was born is the same with which we look ahead to the future. Similarly, the illusion that is breathed today in Globolandia is part of that first illusion with which the company was born. And the same with which we are heading towards the future.
Globolandia It was born as a brand in a modest warehouse in Espinardo, a small town next to the city of Murcia. But its roots go back to Barcelona in the 50s.
There, the founder of the company, manipulated for sale different products such as gloves, girdles or pacifiers. But he had other aspirations.
Our founder was one of those men who always found a way to make children laugh. They loved it. And it was precisely that love he had for them that led him to buy the first balloon machine.
The Globolandia seed had been planted.
Several years later he went one step further. He realized that those balloons he made could be personalized and used as gifts for different establishments and events. The advertising balloon had seen the light.
Globeland had already begun to emerge from the seed.
It would be in the 80s when the company took off as we know it today, after the incorporation of Domingo Garriga, current owner of Globolandia.
With Garriga at the forefront, the company is transformed, producing new types of balloons with games and different assemblies. A more attractive and personalized product is created for each celebration, giving added value to the balloons according to the type of events.
The new products begin to be presented at different trade fairs in the sector, such as at the Toy Fair in Valencia, Madrid or Germany. In addition, our products begin to be implemented in various stores and warehouses.
It has not been easy. No beginning is. But thanks to each step we have taken and the determination and determination of Domingo Garriga, today we can say that we are a benchmark company at the national and European level in the world of the globe.
After more than 40 years of life, the modest warehouse in which this adventure began has become a warehouse of more than 3.000 square meters, equipped with the latest technology machinery.
We also have all the certificates that guarantee us as manufacturers of 100% biodegradable rubber latex balloons, complying with all European regulations. We thus emphasize our firm commitment to reducing plastic and minimizing environmental impact.
In addition, our products are analyzed by the international quality laboratory SGS Institute Fresenius Gmbh, the most prestigious in the sector globally.
We have gone from being a local business to exporting to countries such as Germany, England, France, Austria, Greece, Portugal, Croatia and Hungary.
We are also the official distributor of the Gemar Balloons company in Spain.
And, most importantly, at Globolandia we currently have a workforce of about 25 workers. People who have already become part of our great family.
We have grown and updated a lot. We are aware of the effort that all this has cost us. But we don't want to stay there.
At Globolandia we start from the idea that we can and must always improve. Our continuous learning is a firm commitment of the company for the future.
We are continuously researching, learning and, above all, investing in R&D to try to go ahead and adapt to what the new times are demanding of us.
Where will we be in a few years? We do not know. But what we can affirm is that, wherever we are, we will continue to have the same illusion with which our founder decided to buy that first balloon machine to make children smile.
